Hi guys, thanks for joining us today. Could you start by telling us a bit about yourself and your music?

Hi there, thanks for having me. We’re Keinemusic, producers and DJs based in Berlin. Our music is a fusion of different electronic genres, ranging from techno to ambient, with a strong focus on creating atmospheric soundscapes.

Your latest EP “Liminal” has just been released. Could you tell us about the inspiration behind it and your creative process when producing it?

Sure, “Liminal” is all about exploring the space between two different states or places. We wanted to create music that felt like a journey, taking the listener from one place to another. My creative process involved a lot of experimentation with different sounds and textures, as well as using field recordings to add a sense of place to the tracks.

Your music often features vocal samples and collaborations with other artists. How do you approach working with other musicians in the studio?

Collaborating with other artists is always a really exciting process for me.WeI like to start by having a conversation with the other person about what we want to achieve and what kind of sounds we’re both interested in exploring. From there, we’ll usually start experimenting with different sounds and ideas until we find something that feels right.

As a DJ, you’ve played at a lot of different venues around the world. Do you have a favorite place to play, and why?

It’s hard to pick just one favorite place, as there are so many amazing venues around the world. But we recently played at the Printworks in London, which was an incredible experience. The sound system there is amazing, and the industrial setting really adds to the atmosphere of the music.

Finally, what’s next for Keinemusic? Any upcoming projects or performances that you’re particularly excited about?

Yes, We have a lot of exciting things coming up! We’re currently working on a new album, which I’m hoping to release later this year. I’m also planning some live performances and DJ sets, including a few festivals over the summer. So lots to look forward to!
